Ziedonis Udris is the Managing Partner of the firm. He is a leading and reputable practitioner in the field of commercial litigation and arbitration with particular strength in international dispute resolution and application of international private law. His areas of core specialization include administrative and regulatory law, international trade regulation, insolvency and bankruptcy law, maritime law, labor law and real estate. He has a broad and diverse foreign and domestic client base in areas such as energy, telecommunications, shipping, forwarding, airlines, real estate and publishing. He handles complex and challenging assignments, including high profile litigation cases in Latvia and international arbitration proceedings. He has advised the Government of Latvia on matters related to international litigation and arbitration. He is the Chairman of the Arbitration Tribunal of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is appointed by the Government of Latvia as a Member to the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague. He has contributed to development of legislation regulating commercial arbitration in Latvia, regularly lectures and has publications in the field of international dispute resolution, including on the subject of enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Latvia. In 2001 Ziedonis Udris received the US Government sponsored Edmund F. Muskie Fellowship Excellence Award for his professional and social achievements in Latvia.
