Personal Background

 

A partner with Lathrop & Gage, Rosalee McNamara represents employers throughout the United States in all facets of labor and employee relations. From charge to jury verdict, she has successfully defended complaints of alleged discrimination and ancillary claims. She also counsels businesses regarding personnel policies, reductions in force, labor relations, non-compete agreements, compliance reviews, and risk prevention.   Ms. McNamara served for eight years as a member of Lathrop & Gage's Executive Committee, and has served as Chair of its Labor & Employment Department.

Her litigation and counseling experience includes sexual harassment, Americans with Disabilities Act, race, age, sex, national origin, and religious discrimination, Family and Medical Leave Act and related issues, wage and hour laws, hiring and reference procedures, employee discipline and termination, and employee drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures.

Ms. McNamara conducts internal employee training and investigations, and continuing legal education seminars on employment-related issues. She has been a guest lecturer on legal issues at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, University of Kansas, and Maple Woods Community College.
