Mark A. Pogue, a partner in the Labor & Employment Group, focuses his litigation practice principally on employment matters. Mr. Pogue currently handles employment disputes for many of Rhode Island's largest corporations, including GTECH Corporation, Amgen Inc., Citizens Bank, Stanley Bostich and SOLA International Ltd. Also a member of the Litigation Management Group, Mr. Pogue handles cases and supervises the work of other attorneys for CVS Corporation, Bank of America Corporation and PNC Bank.
Mr. Pogue was the first attorney to ever try a case under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Tried in Rhode Island in 1995, the jury returned a complete defense verdict in favor of Mr. Pogue's client. After serving as a Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., for three years, he joined Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge in 1986.
