Eugenie Nunes became a lawyer in 1992 and has been a partner within BOEKEL's Employment Law practice group since 2005. She specialises in employment law and employees' participation. In her practice she concentrates on legal project management in outsourcing and transfer of undertaking projects, HR compliance, reorganisations and cross-border employment. An important component of her practice is advising on the employee aspects of mergers and acquisitions. She is also regularly involved in advising in disputes on employees' participation and collective bargaining agreements.
Eugenie is a substitute-judge at the District Court in The Hague (cantonal division). She has various publications to her name in the field of cross-border employment and employees' participation. She published the "Chronicle employees' participation 2011". Eugenie manages the Cross-Border Employment Group at BOEKEL.
Eugenie regularly gives presentations at the International Bar Association and lectures at various educational institutes. Furthermore, she gives lectures on employees’ participation and cross-border employment within the framework of the conference activities of SDU, Kluwer Education and Euroforum.
In 2016 Eugenie was included in the Expert Guide 'Women in Business Law' by Legal Media Group and in Who is Who Legal. Legal 500 2016 said: Eugenie Nunes is commended for her ‘fast, analytical mind’ and "wealth of experience."
Eugenie is fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
