Anna Karina Jiménez is partner at Arias & Muñoz. Her main area of practice is Labor and Employment Law. She also does work on Corporate, Commercial, and Immigration Law.

As head of the Labor and Employment Law Practice of Arias & Muñoz Costa Rica, Ms. Jiménez's experience in Labor and Employment Law includes the negotiation and drafting of employment contracts, internal work regulations, internal policies, and employee handbooks. Her expertise also includes providing advice to international, regional, and local clients from many sectors on the termination of contracts, employee rights and benefits, the employment aspects of mergers and takeovers, hiring, compensation, and layoffs. Ms. Jiménez received a Masters Degree in Public Administration, with a focus on international trade, from Harvard University (2000). She also received a Masters Degree in international trade law (Ll.M.) from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. (1993). She was a Fulbright Scholar (1992). In 1996, she participated in the Workshop on Budgeting and Finance of Harvard University. She received her "Licenciatura en Derecho" (Juris Doctor) degree from the School of Law, Universidad de Costa Rica (1992), where she was awarded the "Fernando Coto Alban" recognition, for having obtained the best grade point average in the 5 years of her studies.
