Caren qualified in September 2003 and currently is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department of Dickinson Cruickshank, where she specialises in employment law and heads up the Employment Team (commended in Chambers Europe 2008 for its "first-class service"). She has extensive experience in non-contentious and contentious employment matters, including redundancy, employment issues arising out of mergers and acquisitions, employment restructuring, unfair dismissal, sex discrimination, and contracts of employment. Her clients range from individuals to leading Isle of Man and global corporate entities.
Caren was actively involved in liaising with the Isle of Man Government as part of the Consultation process for the Employment Act 2006 and related secondary legislation. She is currently also consulting in relation to the proposed Employment Equality Bill and for proposed changes to the Control of Employment Regulations 1993. Her practice areas include employment law, commercial litigation, common law and Chancery litigation, contract disputes, and human rights. Caren received her LL.B (Hons) from University College London and her Dip. Legal Practice from the College of Law in London. She is recommended in Chambers Europe 2008 which states that "Clients describe her as "immensely helpful" and say she "provides good quality advice."
