Personal Background

Angelo Zambelli, founder and Managing Partner of LabLaw – Studio Legale Failla Rotondi & Zambelli, based in Milan, has always focused his practice on labour and employment law, industrial relations, agency and litigation. Previously partner in Toffoletto law firm, recently Angelo Zambelli was partner and head of the Employment and Labour Department in McDermott Will & Emery / Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato. He advises numerous industrial and financial entities on the legal aspects of human resources management and employment relationships. He has also advised many businesses in the metalworkers, mechanical, chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, editorial and fashion fields regarding the planning and effective implementation of reorganizations and reductions in the labor force. He is a columnist in the labor law field and author of several books on employment and trade union law issues, such as "The Rules on Dismissals”, Third edition, Pirola, 1995 and "Ten Labor Law Topics” Pirola, 1996. His latest books are "Trade Union Law and Industrial Relations" (second Edition, Il Sole 24 Ore, 2005) and "Dismissals and Disciplinary Procedure" (Second Edition, Il Sole 24 Ore, 2006). Angelo Zambelli is member of the Employment Law Association (ELA), the Italian Employment Lawyers Association AGI and the International Bar Association (IBA). He has been recognised and recommended as a leader in his field by Chambers Global 2004-2005, Global Counsel 2002-2005, European Legal Experts 2004-2005. In addition he has also been recommended by Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Labour and Employment Lawyers 2004, International Who’s Who of Management and Employment Lawyers 2004, Which Lawyer? Yearbook 2005, Who’s Who in the World 2004 , and Who’s Who Legal 2005. Angelo Zambelli (J.D. magna cum laude, 1987, University of Milan) was admitted to the Italian Bar Association in 1992 and to the Italian Supreme Court Bar Association in 2004. He speaks English and French in addition to Italian.
