Anas Akel is a senior legal advisor to Bafakih & Nassief. His experience includes advising corporations on a variety of transactions and disputes including trials, arbitrations, negotiations and regulatory proceedings. Prior to joining Bafakih & Nassief, Mr. Akel represented corporations, including several consumer electronics manufacturers, on commercial matters throughout the United States, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Mr. Akel previously worked with a U.S. based international law firm in Riyadh. During law school, he served a one-year judicial clerkship with the San Diego Superior Court.

Bafakih & Nassief was founded in 1997 by Wael F. Bafakih and Abdullah M. Nassief, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The founders envisioned the creation of a legal team with profound expertise in Saudi Arabian law and a combination of technical skills in key practice areas and industries which would enable it to serve its local and international client-base.
